Test Principle
Using the gravimetric determination method, the tester creates a constant humidity difference between the two sides of the test specimen at a specified temperature. Water vapor permeates through the specimen and moves to the dry side. By measuring the weight changes of the test dish over time, the water vapor transmission rate and other related parameters can be determined.
