Test Principle
The pre-conditioned specimen is mounted in the gas diffusion cell to form a sealed barrier between two chambers. Due to the difference in oxygen concentration between the two chambers, oxygen molecules in one chamber permeates through the membrane to the other chamber that contains high-purity nitrogen. The Coulometric sensor monitors signals of oxygen concentration to measure oxygen transmission rate.
