The G101H Gas Permeability Tester is based on the differential pressure method and is professionally used to determine the gas transmission rate and permeability of plastic films, composite films, high barrier materials, sheeting, metal foils at different temperatures.

Test Principle
The pre-conditioned specimen is mounted in the gas diffusion cell to form a sealed barrier between two chambers. The lower-pressure chamber is first evacuated, followed by the evacuation of the entire cell. Gas is then introduced into the evacuated higher-pressure chamber, creating a constant pressure difference between the two chambers. The gas permeates through the specimen from the higher-pressure side to the lower-pressure side. By monitoring the pressure changes in the lower chamber, the gas permeability and other barrier properties of the specimen can be determined.
