The CZY-G Initial Adhesion Tester (also called rolling ball tack tester) is applicable to pressure-sensitive tapes, medical patches, self-adhesive labels, protective films, and other products. It employs two methods: the inclined rolling ball method and the inclined groove rolling ball method.
Product Features
-
It is used to test instantaneous adhesion of samples with the test principle of inclined surface rolling ball method.
-
Two Testing Methods of method A as inclined surface Rolling Ball Method and method B as Slot Rolling Ball Method.
-
The test balls are designed in full accordance with the standards ensure the accuracy of test data.
-
Testing tilt angle can be adjusted freely from 0 degree to 60 degree according to user's requirement.
Test Principle
A: Inclined Surface Rolling Ball Method
The initial viscosity is measured with the touch of steel balls and the viscous surface of the sample. The steel ball rolls over the surface of the sample which is laid on a inclined plate. Then, evaluate the tack of the ball with the maximum length of the sticky surface to obtain the viscous measurement.
B: Slot Rolling Ball Method
Roll a steel ball of a predetermined size through an inclined groove, measure the distance rolling on the adhesive surface of the adhesive tape of a horizontal plate, and evaluate the size of the initial tack.
